Acid Mali was recorded in Mali, in the Sahara Desert in the year 2000 using a solar panel and car battery with a shite old 3GB hard drive laptop running the defunct Egosystems Wami Box! The first laptop sound card/sampler that was a nightmare, never worked properly and died a death.. The album sweats out the heat of the desert with me fuelled up on Malian tea and acid pumping out my youth in Brighton, Brixton and passing through Goa whilst backpacking in India!

I bought it the month of release to put in my backpack as I left Brighton and Brixton for my real homeland. God I miss that place at the moment. Be warned. Acid Mali is pure Malian electronic acid! Hi Everyone, Two of my albums I just heard are up for the Songlines World Music Awards 2014 under both Best Cross Cultural Collaboration and also Best Band. The albums are Tiga Tej Tibs (released in Sept, latest review attached for info) and also a live concert album called Live and Raw. Any votes really help as I am always up against bigger labels with marketing and PR etc so it is hard as a small independent to break through. The voting link is below. Songlines review of the new album, made me smile Sometimes 'straighter' world music journalists just don't get Invisible System but Nige Tassell made me smile with this one! Although as usual tastes differ , I love the metal riffs hence listening to Zep all night ;)
