Sunday. My last day of rest. Feeling almost human again. This is a public post if you want to share it please as next week more modern recording sessions starting :) Again all funds to pay musicians and go towards buying them instruments/gear. This will be ongoing once this kickstarter ends another will start until they are playing live and geared up :) Pledges start at £1-£9 for me to distribute to the most needy out here personally e.g. living on the streets / blind / disabled / trying to get going etc. Musician pledges start at £10 and end at whatever you want to send. We have been making some great music out here. Lots of animated happy and re-engaged older known but given up musicians too.. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/invisiblesystem/isim-invisible-system-in-mali

Just thought I should also point out this is not a pay a musician once for a session then go project. This is a long term development project between us all involving shared song writing (and rights), and years ahead especially given I am married to a Malian and will at the latest retire in this country, if not return far earlier :) My hope is one day this will become an Non Governmental Organisation or such like. I worked in development for years and always noted the lack of support for artists/musicians and it bugged me. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/invisiblesystem/isim-invisible-system-in-mali
Just had a visit from the neighbour, he plays the kora, has been taking lessons, but doesn't own one so there is a new pledge, to get him one so we can record and he can keep it to learn/play/gig https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/invisiblesystem/isim-invisible-system-in-mali
Recording budget finished. If anyone can help spread the kickstarter please help. Link below. Yesterday was amazing with Astou here. She was SO LOUD! Today a session is booked, tomorrow a friend is helping out with percussion via the djembes the kickstarter bought then we are clean out of funds :( https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/invisiblesystem/isim-invisible-system-in-mali

Someone nabbed his fx pedal / guitar synth pedal essential to some griot tunes so I trying to fundraise for that to be replaced too The chap on his left is Sambou who is my other main man on vocals a la griot and his dream is to have his own mic and some speakers to hear himself on / music at home that don't sound like dirt!
Sean Sean TC Watson just upped his pledge from £10 to £50 :) DUDE! https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/invisiblesystem/isim-invisible-system-in-mali

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/invisiblesystem/isim-invisible-system-in-mali Yesterday I pulled super Kalif 5 Kone out of a bad situation and got him buzzing on music again. More info on him and photos below via link. This dude has nothing and used to tour America and Europe with Salif Keita and Oumou Sangare but now has no equipment. His dream is to get some amps and a small PA to start a moden Malian electric band/orchestra if you can pledge to help him. Thanks. http://invisiblesysteminmali.weebly.com/blog/day-5

Anyone fancy pledging £50 towards buying 3 unemployed AMAZING Malian djembe players a djembe each so they can earn a living at weddings etc and teach others and keep their skills up as a left, right, centre playing group? Real shame they are sitting there dreaming of doing it without the gear. Friggin happy photos and outcome in return ;) https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/invisiblesystem/isim-invisible-system-in-mali

I'm coming out of the closet! Invisible System first gig in a while at Sunrise Festival - Cats Cradle Stage - day/time to come. Also at The One Love Reggae Festival in Luton in Aug (day/time to come) - some great names there from John Holt to Gary Clail , Aba-Shanti & Maka B and supposedly Glastonbury - 2 gigs booked at 2 great spots but the stages are having problems getting all the artists tickets/passes i think so will have to see... it isn't like the old days http://www.onelovefestival.co.uk/ https://sunrisecelebration.com/

And the flip side album to Acid Mali 2000, Azmariz; this album celebrates our fusion work with Ethiopian Azmaris..... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TokL3nfnotg&list=UUEYyNKzXlzbmJr84Is-sNug&feature=c4-overview
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Wp-yCyXVIU&list=UUEYyNKzXlzbmJr84Is-sNug&feature=c4-overview Acid Mali 2000 is released in around 3 weeks as a double album alongside Azmariz. Acid Mali was recorded in Mali, in the Sahara Desert in the year 2000 using a solar panel and car battery with a shite old 3GB hard drive laptop running the defunct Egosystems Wami Box! The first laptop sound card/sampler that was a nightmare, never worked properly and died a death.. The album sweats out the heat of the desert with me fuelled up on Malian tea and acid pumping out my youth in Brighton, Brixton and passing through Goa whilst backpacking in India!
